Offerings of Water:

Supaniyam aham dammi

uddissa lokanayakam

Imina punnakammena

vineyyam parilahakam

I offer water to the Buddha,

Supreme Lord of the World.

By this meritorious act,

May I be free from the thirst of craving.

Offerings of Flowers:

Supupphakam aham dammi

uddissa lokanayakam

Imina punnakammena

vineyyam amagandhakam

I offer flowers to the Buddha,

Supreme Lord of the World.

By this meritorious act,

May I be free from the odour of immorality.

Offerings of Light:

Supadipam aham dammi

uddissa lokanayakam

Imina punnakammena

vineyyam andhakarakam

I offer light to the Buddha,

Supreme Lord of the World.

By this meritorious act,

May I be free from the darkness of illusion.

Offerings of Incense:

Sugandhakam aham dammi

uddissa lokanayakam

Imina punnakammena

vineyyam dutthugandhakam

I offer incense to the Buddha,

Supreme Lord of the World.

By this meritorious act,

May I be free from the odour of immorality.

Offerings of Food:

(To chant only when food is offered before noon.)

Subhojanam aham dammi

uddissa lokanayakam

Imina punnakammena

vineyyam khuddachatakam

I offer food to the Buddha,

Supreme Lord of the World.

By this meritorious act,

May I be free from the hunger of craving.
