Who am I? How do I learn?
I am an Athlete who does not like to run. It's not that I don't like running in general I just do not like running long distances. From age 4 to 14 I did gymnastics (no long distance running involved). I was on the team and had practice 3 days a week. I also play soccer in the fall. For someone that does not like runing long distance this is probably not the right sport to be playing. But I actually do not mind running long distnce as long as I am not runing around in a circle for no aparent reason. So soccer is OK. I also run track inthe spring (no long distance only hurdle events and the long and triple jumps). I am a  very energetic person and I am always ready to do something  athletic, competetive or not.
An important characteristic of who some one is, is how they learn. Looking at how some one learns can tell you alot about there personality.

What type of learner do I think I am?

Looking at the different types of learning styles I would say that I have Logical/Mathematical intelligence. Which means I like to do experiments, analyze data and I am good at problem solving and working with patterns, and Body/Kinesthetic intelligence. This is a lot of learning through doing and hands on activities. I belive I do well learning both ways depending on my mood.

I took the survey. What type of learner am I?

According to te survey my most dominate intelligences are Logical/Mathematical, Body/Kinesthetic and the surpriser Intrapersonal Intelligence. This means that I like to work alone, which I do and I do my best work while working alone and I think in most cases this is true to. Intrapersonal Learners are also good at understanding themselves and focusing inward on feelings/dreams. This is one area were I am not so good, really tuning into myself. My weakest intelligences are Musical Srengths and Visual Strenghths.

What types of assignments and  techniques help me learn best?

Because I am an energetic hands on person which has to do with Body/Kinesthetic intelligence one way for me to learn succesfuly is by acting out certain parts of chemistry for example, the different states of matter. Because of my Logic/Mathematical intelligence problem solving  and math related activities are good, and to help me be succesful goal setting would be good. As for the intrapersonal aspects relating chemistry to everyday occurances will help me to understand aspects esier. One assignment that I believe incorparates all the ways I learn is a lab. The experimental part is hands on and goes along with the Body/Kinesthetic intellegence. Analyzing the data, making graphs investigating patterns all relate to the Logical/ Mathematical intellegence. As for intrapersonal intellegence the write up is a great way for me to work alone and come up with my own ideas.
