Karnei Shomron, a beautiful town in Western Samaria, prides itself on its diversity. Its 6000 residents represent young families and senior citizens, new immigrants from North America, Europe and the former Soviet Union and native-born Israelis, religious and secular alike. There are two exclusively religious neighborhoods, the rest a healthy mix of religious and secular. The local community center provides cultural and enrichment programs and sports facilities for both children and adults. B'nei Akiva attracts most of Karnei Shomron's religious youth. There is a local swimming pool, with both mixed and separate swimming hours, and a health club, as well. There are two local rabbis and an active religious council which provides religious programming. Unique to Karnei Shomron is its "American" neighborhood, Neve Aliza, founded by new immigrants from North America, making this young community a real attraction for "Anglo Olim". In Karnei Shomron, there is always someone who can speak your language.
