The "Forgotten" Facts of the Middle East"

Birth of the Middle East in Modern Times

The conflict in the Middle East is based primarily on the assumption that the Arab Moslem countries in the region exist since time began and they therefore have a right to oppose the existence of Israel.

The fact is that virtually all of the Arab Moslem countries came into existence between the 1920's and the 1970's.  For example Syria and Jordan became independent in 1946.  Libya in 1951; while Israel became an independent country in 1948.

Sovereign Arab Moslem countries in the Middle East, North Africa, and the Persian Gulf did not exist before the First World War - some after World War Two,and others not until the 1960's and 70's. Listed below are some of these countries.
