Adopt a Stitcher Program
The CCS Adopt-A-Stitcher (AAS) program is a program to pair stitchers in need of help attaining 'stash' with stitchers who are willing to help.  Usually the matches are made up of international stitchers with US stitchers.  Supplies outside of the US are usually in small supply and at high prices.  The AAS program endeavors to help those stitchers out by giving them a contact to purchase supplies for them and ship them.

Adopting a fellow stitcher is a big committment. You must be willing to stay in contact with your partner and provide goods to them.  One of the hardest things that can happen is when a stitcher is 'adopted' and then their 'adopter' disappears.  For those of us who are blessed to have so many shopping options, we tend to forget that not everyone is as lucky as we are.

You will need to work out your method of payment between yourselves ~
whether it be traded stash, cash only, or if you don't want payment and just
want to send to someone for free.  If you cannot come to an agreement with
your adopter/adoptee, then please e-mail me and you will be re-matched.
We can't run an arbitration service in regards to payment, but do drop a
note if there are excessive problems and we will see if we can help to
resolve them.  We want the Adopt-A-Stitcher program to be fun and helpful
for all involved, so if you decide to adopt a stitcher, please follow through on
the obligation or notify me if you decide that you need to withdraw from the
program.

In order to qualify to be adopted, you must be a member of CCS in good standing.  'Good standing' means you are up to date on all RR's, birthday clubs and exchanges you're in.  To join in this program, you must be 18 years of age or older and belong to the Counted Cross Stitch e-mail list at Yahoo! groups.

Please understand that this program is a commitment, and if you need to withdraw for any reason make sure you notify both your partner and myself.

If you have any questions about the program, please contact the program coordinator, Beth Ann, at
[email protected].

If you would like to be a member of the AAS program please send an email to
