Sierra has today released four new patches for Half-Life: Blue Shift and Half-Life: Opposing Force.

TFC Admin Assistant 1.0.7 Released
TFC server admins will want to grab the latest version of TFC Admin Assistant at their site. The new version primarily fixes an �uneven kick� bug. With this handy tool you can administrate your server from IRC, and have many actions run automatically for you. Naturally, complete details are at their site.

Day of Defeat v2.1 ...? A Valve beta tester who wishes to remain anonymous passed along word on some of the changes we could see see in Day of Defeat 2.1 (Keep in mind that these changes are not confirmed by Valve and are more than likely subject to change)
Fixed the lag on map start with more than 20 players.
General networking optimizations.
Lowered Garand recoil.
Increased Sniper rifle damage for both teams.
Reduced MG42 accuracy while deployed.
Removed crosshair for undeployed machine gunners.
Added Objective flags to HLTV.
Fixed Joystick support.
Final scores are now logged at the end of the match.

According to the mysterious tester "The removal of the MG crosshairs (when undeployed) is something many have been crying out for... Reducing the Garand's recoil will certainly be a talking point too...".

HL Infinity Mod Released - redef Here’s something a little different. According to Starbreaker the mod named “Infinity” will allow maps to be customized on the server, without forcing users to download additional maps. It allows the addition of weapons, ammo, batteries, health kits, long jump modules, and spawnpoints to any map. You can potentially take any CS map and convert it to a deathmatch map with this tool, or do anything along that type of idea.

More Diablo II Mod Happenings - TheAcolyte
There are a few more helpful Diablo II: Lord of Destruction mod plug-ins at The Phrozen Keep, meant for mod authors. Specifically, there are two new monster animations by Nefarious, one being a Magma Demon from
the original game and the other a monster which resembles Deckard Cain.

The folks over at CS Central have just released a new CS Map Pack, containing 8 great CS maps! The pack contains 4 previously-unreleased maps, as well 'Italian Eve v2' by our very own TorQue[MoD]! Here's the full content list:

That's right folks, the 1.0.9.3 Update for Aliens Versus Predator II is finally here! It contains some single player fixes, but more importantly mutliplayer fixes. Here's the list:

General
- Made Weapon pickups always get picked up, even if the player can't hold all the ammo.
- Fixed a bug where clicking on charge can disrupt the fire animation and effectively allow a player to super-rapid fire the shoulder cannon.
- Fixed shadows on chroma-keyed world models punching holes in the geometry.
- Fixed 16 bit lightmaps when switched while not in a level.
- Made the "Continue Game" menu option catch instances where the player has manually deleted their save files.
- The spear gun now uses a single ammo pool instead of separate clips.

Multiplayer
- Fixed bug where players could be alive but not visible in MP games.
- Fixed bug which caused too many object position updates across the network.
- Fixed bug where players could become solid with other players inside of them in MP games.
- Custom bandwidth settings now remain what they were when going back to the advanced options menu.
- Bulletholes and other impact effects from the player's own weapon now show up instantly instead of waiting for verification from the server.
- Made the update of the local player's flamethrower lag- independent.
-Dedicated servers start with no server controller. Players must enter the correct password, control "password", to take server control. Only one person may have control at a time. The server operator sets the control password when hosting the game.
- Disabled the F1 key in Hunt and Survivor modes.
- Added F3 key for Server Rules display in MP.
- Smoothed out character and projectile movement.
- Plasmacaster projectiles can turn no more then 30 degrees from their original trajectory.
- The Predator wristblade primary-fire will now cut through netting.
- The Light Predator's ladder speed has been increased so that he moves up and down ladders at the same speed as the other Predators.

Baldur's Gate Diablo 2 Mod - MageDragon
PlanetDiablo has let us know they have posted, a “mod” for Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, making it more like Baldur’s Gate.

The BG Mod features a huge overhaul to all seven character classes, including tweaks and many changes to skill organization and effects. There are, of course, many new Cube recipes, but the total amount of item changes and additions is amazing. To name a few additions, there are 30 gems, 24 runes, and each character receives many more class-specific items.
Just goes to show you, what Diablo fans really want is Baldur’s Gate.
