Follow these instructions exactly! :-D If they don't work, then there's some freakay shiiit goin awn. 1) Download the big Warcraft 3 FT 1.20 patch from internet - just Google it - it's about 49 MB 2) Go to start, run..., type regedit, run it 3) On the left open HKEY_CURRENT_USER, then Software 4) Look for one called 'Blizzard Entertainment', if it's not there right click on Software and go New -> Key. Name it exactly 'Blizzard Entertainment'. 5) Open Blizzard Entertainment and look for one called Warcraft III, if it's not there right click on Blizzard Entertainment and go New -> Key. Name it exactly 'Warcraft III'. 6) Click on (don't open) Warcraft III, now on the right look for one called InstallPath, if it's not there right click in the empty space under (default) and go new -> string value. Name it exactly 'InstallPath' 7) Double click on InstallPath and in the space provided put the location where you have war3 on your computer (for example mine is C:\Program Files\Warcraft 3\). Make sure it's exact, and has a \ at the end. It doesn't matter what drive it is in, as long as it is accurate. 8) Close regedit. 9) When it's downloaded, run the big 49 MB crack. It shouldnt have any error messages. But may have one of these (click "Show Details >>"): a. If it says something about registry error loading key then you spelt something wrong, do steps 2 to 9 again. =P b. If it says unable to execute command 'BNUpdate' then you didn't put the InstallPath in perfectly (step 7) c. If it says anything about not being able to access a particular file then you have a Read-Only problem, see the Appendix. 10) Once the patch is installed, make sure you don't run any warcraft programs until you have installed the crack. 11) Download the crack from http://www.geocities.com/karlwilsonwolfe/war3crack.zip - it's about 1 MB 12) Extract war3.exe and war3.120 to your warcraft directory. Say yes to any overwrite questions. 13) Play warcraft! Make sure you run the new war3.exe before either Frozen Throne.exe or Warcraft III.exe, just in case. Appendix 1) You have to remove the read-only protection from all the files, including the ones in subfolders. This means that you can't just go to your warcraft folder and select all, because that won't include files in subfolders. 2) Instead, open your warcraft folder and click search at the top. 3) Click all files and folders and then make sure that it is only searching in your warcraft folder, and click search. 4) When the search is finished select all the results, right click, and go to properties. 5) Untick the box that says Read-Only, if it is already unticked, tick it then untick it, and then click OK. The patch should now install with no problems.
