For the love of the game..
I'm a BIG basketball fan, both in size and loyalty.  (:-)))

I believe basketball is the most fun game to watch in the world. I come from a country where soccer is pretty popular and so soccer is my second favorite game, but basketball rules supreme in my heart.

I fell in love with basketball in 1988 when I first saw the "showtime" Lakers play. Magic, Kareem, Worthy and Scott were all I wanted to see. I was a big Lakers fan as a young kid.

Then, in 1989, I fell in love with this exciting new guy called Karl Malone, and that started my current admiration for everything that is the
Utah Jazz.

I believe that the period from the mid-80's till the late 90's was the golden age of basketball. I also believe basketball is on the decline right now as the game is becoming more and more about individuals and less and less about teams.
Execution and Effort are the real beauty of basketball.

I appreciate team basketball. As fancy as the showtime Lakers were, few people understand that they succeeded mainly because of their team play, not because Magic was the best point and Worthy was the best forward and Kareem was the best center. This is why I admire the Jazz now so much. Even though they have two stars who are greater than most others in the league, the team still plays a team game. No one is "allowed" to take bad shots, no one is "expected" to play poor defense and no one is "permitted" to not hustle.

I love a well executed play. A good pass that leads to an open J is just as enjoyable as a fastbreak alley-oop. A player holding defensive ground is just as nice as a block into row 13 section 220.
