On playing Owen:
"I'm kind of an old curmudgeon anyway so it was easy to be Uncle Owen."

The role of Uncle Owen was "just another job and not a very big one really because I got killed early."

Memories of performing Owen:
"I'm afraid I don't have any crazy stories (from the set). It was a pleasant shoot in Tunisia, and we rode out there, the crew and Alec Guinness and I, and a couple of other people, to Tunisia on a plane, and we were put up in nice hotels."

Acting with costumed characters is "no different than anything else. You adjust to the circumstances, and you treat them like human beings, whether they've got funny little faces, or they're made of metal, or whatever. Treat them as human beings, and you play scenes with them."

Time spent on the set playing Owen: Unknown

Other characters played: None

Other actors who portrayed Owen: Joel Edgerton, Episode 2
