The Voice of Beed Annodue

Greg Proops

On playing Beed:
"I had to watch (the monitor) from about two inches away because I didn't have my glasses on, because with the prosthetic head I couldn't put them on. So I stuck my face right next to the monitor."

"They cover your head in plastic goop (to make a cast for the prosthetic head, which wasn't used in the film) that turns solid, and then they can make a plastic mask of your face."

"I don't feel bad at all (that computer graphics replaced the prosthetic in the film). Our voices are on the soundtrack. It's obviously George's prerogative to make the aliens look however he wants them to look."

Personality the voice is based on: "a total exaggeration" of former San Francisco Giants announcer Ron Fairly Time spent in the studio playing Beed: 5 hours in makeup, and about 40 minutes in recording

Other actors considered for the role: Unknown

Other Star Wars characters played: None

Other actors who portrayed Beed in the films:
