Code of the Knight Protector
- Uphold the honor and good name of the Great Kingdom unto
your last breath. Tolerate no disrespect or mockery of neither the Kingdom nor
your station. It is better to die in service to the Kingdom and the order
than to suffer such indignities.
- Address each Knight always with his proper title, that
we may be reminded of the respect and honor due one another.
- Obey the knight of higher station in all things
- Let our arms and armor proclaim our worthiness and
readiness to the world.
- Value the honor of the order above our personal honor;
value our order above our lives.
- Display honor and truth in all your dealings and
behaviors. Let it never be said that you told a lie, for lies corrupt the very
foundation of our land. Make your word your bond, so that all may know that
your oath, deed, and intent are the same. Give none cause to doubt neither
your vow nor your honor.
- Never violate an oath you have sworn. Never swear an
oath you know you cannot keep. Remain faithful to thy pledged word.
- Defend those who cannot defend themselves. Take the part
of the weak and the helpless, and give succor and support to those in need. Do
not allow the stronger to take advantage of the weaker, nor allow yourself to
be tempted down this path of dishonorable accord.
- Render such aid to those in need as to a fellow knight;
indulge the ignorant or witless even unto a fault, but suffer no slur or
insult to our honor from those who lack such excuse.
- Engage the enemy forthrightly that he may know the
origin of his doom; set no ambush nor indulge in any base trickery to overcome
the foe.
- Give quarter to those who yield and render up prisoners
in honorable exchange.
- Refuse no honorable truce or parley.
- Let no patrol or command be tainted with the stain of
cowardice; once the enemy has been engaged, let him fall under our sword or
let us fall under his. Die with honor.
- Smite evil wherever it may be found, and stem the tide
of chaos with your sword and body.
Motto: “One can be taught swordsmanship, but honor cannot
be learned.”
The most important aspect of the Code:
- Suffer not to shelter among us any who
would violate, ignore, or dishonor this code.
