What's News?

Hey Kids,

It is with the deepest regret and sadness that I have decided to put the new Hogsmeade House on hiatus. For the time being anyway.

It has been over the last few weeks, as I have tried with much difficulty to complete the new site that I realised it is impossible for me to try and create a site as massive as I want HH to be, all on my own. For over five years I have attempted it but have been unable to juggle it along with my uni work and the experience of other, much bigger sites.

JKR has created so much content from this world of Harry Potter that I am unable to keep up.

I'm still a huge fan of the books and films, however I feel that I want to enjoy them in a less obsessive/ fanatic way and in a way that doesn't require me to feel obligated to do it all because the site needs the updates. I don't think that's fair on the visitors. I am happy to leave it up to the larger sites to continue to provide me (and the rest of the fandom) with up-to-date news and theories.

I think this phase is just a demonstration that I have matured into a different kind of fan, probably still as obsessive, just in a different way and just not as willing to show it on a website.

This certainly isn't the end of Hogsmeade House nor am I giving up web design entirely. I just need to find some new inspiration and new motivation and fit it in with the other priorities going on in my everyday life.

I want to thank you for visiting my site and for encouraging amateur web designers to keep working hard at their sites that have to compete with some truly massive Harry Potter sites on the web with insane numbers of staff. Your support and interest means a lot.

Please check back in the next few months, as you never know, something may just have inspired me and we'll be looking bright and new.
