THIRD GENERATION

12. Delbert William KAPPMEYER was born on MAR 15 1921 in Cheyenne, Wyoming - Laramie County. He served in the military on AUG 6 1942 in Army. He in JUL 1955 in California. He died on JUL 29 1955 in San Gabriel, California. He was buried on AUG 2 1955 in Rose Hills - Whispering Pines Lawn - Lot 4253. He served in the Army in World War II. While in the service he was taught to cook and Bake and became a Cook. He returned to the States in 12/29/1945 He separated from the Army on 1/4/1946 as a Sergeant receiving the American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and WW II Victory Medal.
He met Pauline Deyhle in August and married with in days of meeting on 8/8/1942 in Las Vegas
they then had 4 children Danny, Larry, Jerry and Penny.

He owned a stock car, his car number was #34 and Bob Kappmeyer number was #25 and they travelled all over racing them. They enjoyed the building and repairing for these engines in the family garage in Pico Rivera Ca and at Bob's muffler shop in Whittier. We also enjoyed camping.

Delbert worked for Fluid Pact Pump in Los Nietos until 1955 when he died of Leukemia, we buried him in Rose Hills next to his mom and dad and later buried his wife Pauline next to him.

He was married to Pauline Lucille DEYHLE (daughter of Otto DEYHLE and Alice Graves BLISS) on AUG 8 1942 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pauline Lucille DEYHLE was born on AUG 15 1921 in Atchison, Kansas. She died on JUN 3 1977 in Montebello, Los Angeles County, California. She was buried on JUN 6 1977 in Rose Hills - Whispering Pines Lawn - Lot 4253. Pauline was born in 1922 in Kansas where she grew up with her two sisters. She came to California to visit her older sister and met Delbert and married.

After Delbert died she went to night school to learn business and my Aunt Margaret taught her how to drive so she could take care of her children. Pauline never remarried.
Pauline often took the children with Margaret and Roy camping and Deer hunting as well as boating with them. She even learned to Water Ski.

She liked to knit and crochet make rugs and leather works. For fun she joined a bowling league

In 1977 she developed and Lung Cancer and died in June of that year. She had four children and two grandchildren.
Delbert William KAPPMEYER and Pauline Lucille DEYHLE had the following children:

child37 iv. Penny Jean KAPPMEYER was born on JAN 28 1948 in Whittier, Los Angeles County, California. Penny lived with her family in Pico Rivera first on Rosemead then moving to Havenwood.

She took business courses in High School, after graduations she worked in hospital as admitting clerk for many years, then worked for a mortuary as a secretary. Due to medical problems I no longer work.

She enjoyed bowling, crocheting and some knitting for a hobbies. And make allot of crochet baby stuff for the family. I spend my time now doing cross word puzzles and jig saw puzzles and reading, and I very much enjoy my tropical fish tank.

Penny never married and has no plan along this line now, But she her Prince Charming come along who knows.
