SECOND GENERATION7. Margaret May MCDONALD

FEB 20 2003 in Bakersfield, California. A special event Margaret remembers
is in 1919 her father and mother William & Mary took her & Gertrude to
the State Capitol in Cheyenne to an Elks Lodge benefit dance that General John
Persing was a guest. Her father brought the General over to meet them and he
was quite the gentleman and he asked each one to dance, he thanked my parent
for allowing him to dance with his family. The next day the children at school
heard the story but didn't believe it and the teacher knew it was true so she
had me tell the story to the class.
She was married to Casmire M. "Frenchy" MARTY
on JAN 6 1923 in Los Angeles County, California. Casmire
M. "Frenchy" MARTY was born on MAR 25 1898 in Salsbury Township,
Landcaster County, Pennsylvania. He died on MAR 20 1981 in Bakersfield, California.
He was buried on AUG 24 1981 in Hillcreast Memorial Park, Bakersfield. Frenchy
worked (with Vern Keister) for Flur Corporation for in the City of Commerce.
He then work for Weatherby's Furniture for 25 years assembled and delivered furniture.
