Dewey McDonald, Union Pacific Railroad engineer and Laramie resident for 35 years, died Friday morning at IVinson Memborial Hospital at the age of 62
He was born February 14 1898 at Iron Mountain. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineman and Royal Neighbors.
Surviors include: his wife, Eva McDonald, three brothers, Gordon McDonald of Cheyenne, Walter McDonald of Of California and Ned McDonald of Riveria Calif. : two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Marty of Bakersfield, Calif and Mrs. Gertrude Fraser of Pomona, Calif
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 PM at the Grace Baptist Church eith the Rev Dean Koontz. Officiatiing
Burial with be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Cheyenne. Strykes Morturary is in Charge of Local and arrangements.
He was buried on OCT 17 1960 in Lakeview Cemetary, Lot 869 E - Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was an Engineer for Union Pacific Railroad in Wyoming - Laramie County. He went to College and used to joke that, that was where he learned to shoot pool !
Their is mention of him, in the news paper that he was in the Frontier Days Rodeo in 1920.
He was also in the World Championships for Bronco Busting Rodeo riding 1921 and 1922 his friend Hugh Strickland took 1st place. Information from Wyoming state archives and Western Museum.

Dewey also worked in Hollywood Western Movies as a stunt rider and an extra in background shots with his friend Hugh Strickland.
His 1st wife Lillian was a trick rider and travelled with him until she died in California.
He had a dog he taught to bark when he sang "How Much Is That Doggie in the Window".
Dewey loved a party and did as much of that as he could, he played the Violin at Barn Dances and had allot of girlfriends, they say he was a real sweet talker. He first married Lillian and they lived with Stella, then Cecil and finally marring Eva Austin and settling down in Colorado and becoming an Engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad.
His brother Ned remembers a story of the Silver Dollar Hotel in Cheyenne with a big picture of Dewey on the horse Skedoo bucking on the wall.

He was married to Lillian (MCDONALD).
Lillian (MCDONALD) was born on OCT 17 1900. She died on OCT 17 1937. She was buried on OCT 21 1937 in Rose Hills - Myrtle Lawn - lot 1797. She was a Trick Rodeo Rider.He was married to Eva AUSTIN.
