Shows payment for the use of his horse and its equipment with a value of $125 dollars
States - Entitled to pay for use and risk of Horse and horse equipment.
At some point this horse became unserviceable..

John N. Ellis was born 11/28/1837 in Richmond, Monroe County, West Virginia he moved with his family to Missouri where he met his future wife Margaret Alvira Latham born 2/15/1842 in Sandusky, Erie County, Ohio, who also move with her family to Missouri they lived next to each other both families were farmers. They had 5 children together. John died in 1872 and Margaret went on to remarry a Richard Miles and have another 4 children. The Ellis and Miles family moved to Iowa and then to Wyoming (1893) where they stayed. Many of the Ellis Children settled in or around Kaycee, Wyoming, Johnson County as well as Laramie County and are know as Pioneers of these communities.
