| Vail's Jack Daniels #KB1 DOB: 6-7-08 reg'd broken black, 3 GC legs, GC pending aaBBC-DDEE Dam: Vail's Kahlua, reg'd chestnut Sire: Velotta's Buster, reg'd broken black (reg'd as bk.seal) I am thrilled with the body type and balance on this buck. My only complaint is he lacks a little in size/massiveness. His type is excellent, but he's a very small buck (reg'd at 5.08#) He will probably not show well as a young senior I don't think - but maybe as he gets older! I think he will throw some exceptional babies! JD's sire was a broken self chin and threw REW - so I am crossing my fingers he carries REW too! Chin would be OK too, but REW would be great! Would love some REW's with his type! JD won BOV for his granding leg! GC pending! :) |

| Vail's Remington # WA1 reg'd blue steel (gold-tipped), 1 BOSV leg AaBbC-ddE(s)E dam: JT's Wendy, broken chocolate steel 1 GC leg sire: Vail/Rah's Abyss, black 1 GC leg This buck has really developed nicely! I took him out before the last show entry was due and was amazed! I am so glad I kept him! He is is sire's replacement for sure! Nice and balanced and massive even at only 5.12# unfortunately I wasn't watching closely and the registrar wrote his color down as blue instead of blue steel. Remmy won his class at both shows in Bremerton, but with only 4 bucks in the class, so no legs :( Remmy has developed a white toenail so will no longer be showable :( |

Opie is registered as a broken opal, but he is a broken blue steel - proven by producing 2 steels when bred to Kahlua (chestnut). |
