MEXICO

In this page we've put together some tourist information to help you plan your trip to Mexico and enjoy your stay in the country
About the Wedding
The religious ceremony will take place on Saturday January 6th, 2007 at 19h sharp at the Parroquia de San Sebastian Chimalistac in Mexico City.

We dont want to spoil the surprise, but here are some tips to help you to be prepared to enjoy a Mexican-style wedding.

Arriving to the Church: Your best option is to take a taxi from the hotel, as you probably dont want to squeeze in the Metro in your nice clothes! Please consider that on Saturday afternoon there can be heavy traffic and if youre traveling from the city centre allow about 1h for the journey. From the south (Hotel Royal Pedregal for example), allow 20-30 min. to get there. Here is a small
map of the surroundings of the church, in case your taxi driver is not sure where it is.

For the die-hards, you can get there by public transport: take the Metrobus (line A1) from the city centre to stop La Bombilla, walk towards the parquet Lla Bombilla where you will see a big statue (Monumento a Alvaro Obregon). Turn right into Avenida de la Paz for about 100m until you arrive to Av. Miguel Angel de Quevedo, turn left into Calle Chimalistac and take the first street on the left (Abasolo). There youll see the little square where the church is located.

After the ceremony, there will be plenty of cars to take you to
La Antigua Hacienda de Tlalpan, where the reception will take place. Karinas sisters (they will be easy to recognize and they do speak English) will be happy to help you find a lift.

Dinner will be served around 22h, so its probably wise to have a late lunch or have a snack before the mass, so that you dont starve! The rest is just a party, so enjoy the food the drink and the dance. The party will go on until late and breakfast will be served around 3am so maybe taking it easy in the afternoon or even having a siesta is a good idea.  To go back to your hotel its best to take a taxi. The receptionist or the valet-parking employees will be happy to call a cab for you.
