Part One

We must get started, Lucky Gemm said to the other girls. It was Friday after school, and they needed to make the set list for Saturday. Lucky, along with Hannah Bell, Cassidy Knight and Denise Parker were sitting in the schools empty music room, waiting for Mari Richards to arrive with the S Club suggestion box. Just then, Mari arrived with the box. She sat down on the floor with the others, setting the box down in the middle of them. Hannah grabbed the box and opened it.

Anything new? Mari asked Hannah, who was starting to read the slips of paper.

So far just the usual Bye, Bye, Bye and Oops! I did it again requests. Hannah answered. The next paper she read Hannah passed to Cassidy. This ones for you.

I think Cassidy should do something by KoRn, Cassidy read aloud. After thinking of what song to do she said, Put me down for Freak on a Leash by KoRn,

Lucky scribbled it down in her notebook, Anyone else?

I wanna do Put you Hands Where My Eyes Can See, Denise said as Lucky wrote it in the notebook.

And since it was suggested, Ill do Oops, Mari said, taking the box from Hannah so she could read a few. Heres a good one, she said pulling one out. It says, You should sing a song by Youngstown in honor of their concert on Saturday.

Which Im going to, Cassidy added. I agree with whoever wrote that.

Okay, so which song should we do? Lucky asked the other four.

Pedal to the Steel! They all said in unison. Eventually they had completed the set list. Cassidy was doing Freak On a Leash by KoRn and N 2 Gether Now by Limp Bizkit. Denise was doing N 2 Gether Now with Cassidy as a duet. She was also doing Put your Hands Where My Eyes Can See. By Busta Rhymes. Mari was doing Oops! I Did It Again by Britney Spears and Waiting For Tonight by Jennifer Lopez.

Hannah had picked the Moffatts Wild at Heart and soulDecisions Faded. Lucky finally decided on My Own Worst Enemy by Lit and Billie Pipers I Dream. As a group they were doing S Club Party by S Club 7, Pedal to The Steel by Youngstown, and Space Cowboy and Bye, Bye, Bye from *NSYNC.

See you tomorrow, Lucky said to Cassidy and Hannah as they left the school. Mari had already left to bring the box back to the S Club, and Denise was bringing the set list to their band so they could practice all the songs. Lucky went one way to go home, the other two walked together the other way. Cassidy and Hannah lived just across the street from each other.

Are you going to see Youngstown with me? Cassidy asked as they walked home. She had asked the others earlier, but none of them could make it. She didnt know about Hannah yet.

I can go, I just need I ride, Hannah answered.

You can ride with me. Be ready to go around 9:30.

Sounds good, see you tomorrow morning, Hannah said as they arrived at their homes.

See ya!

SATURDAY

Im so excited! Just another half hour and Youngstown will be here, Hannah exclaimed. She and Cassidy had spent the last hour and a half at the Mall of America. They were waiting in the Rotunda for Youngstown to arrive. While there, they both found some *NSANITY fans in the crowd. Cassidy was very recognizable with her signature dreadlocks.

Soon after, the concert began. Youngstown took the stage, resulting in screams so loud it was almost unbearable. Cassidy knew Youngstown was one cool group when they started the concert with a dance routine to Ozzy Osbornes Crazy Train. She watched their moves carefully, remembering some to add to *NSANITYs own choreography. The next hour of entertainment passed fast, and Youngstown left, getting ready for their Meet n Greet.

What should we say to them when we go up and meet them? Hannah asked Cassidy. Youngstown had come back, the Meet n Greet began, and now Cassidy and Hannah we near the front of the line.

Why not, Hi, were in a band. Come see us perform tonight? Cassidy suggested.

Like they would be able to come, Hannah countered as one of the mall officials motioned them to go up onstage.

I guess well just have to find out, Cassidy said, going up the stairs to Youngstown, with Hannah close behind.

How are you doing? Dallas asked, who was first, when they reached the table.

Im doing awesome, Cassidy answered, looking at Hannah for her answer. She was staring at Youngstown, unable to speak. Cassidy gave her a nudge, hoping to get Hannah to say something. It didnt work. Dallas signed a promotional photo for each of them.

That was so cool when you did the dance routine to Crazy Train by Ozzy Osborne, Cassidy said to the threesome of Youngstown.

Thanks, you look like someone who might be into rock music, DC, who was now signing the photos. Cassidy did look very rock n roll, wearing all black, silver chains, and a red Yankees cap.

Youre right. Im a rock star in training!

Were actually in a band, Hannah spoke up.

She speaks! Dallas joked.

Youre in a band? Sammy asked.

Yeah, like Hannah just said, Cassidy answered. Our name is *NSANITY, we perform at the S Club every Saturday night.

Cool, Sammy said, also signed the photos. Cassidy and Hannah got their autographed photo, and said bye to Youngstown before going off the other side of the stage.

I cant believe I just talked to Youngstown, Hannah said excitedly, looking at the photo they had autographed.

Yeah, a whole five words, Cassidy said sarcastically.

Shut up! Im not you, Hannah said, laughing with her friend. I cant just walk up to a stranger, a celebrity more less, and start talking.

Dont worry, young grasshopper. You soon will learn the way of the Cassidy, Cassidy said with a small bow, making Hannah laugh even more.

Come on, Hannah said between laughs, We need to get ready for our show tonight.

SATURDAY NIGHT

Denise, hurry up! Lucky said from backstage at the S Club. They were about half way into their concert, and Cassidy and Denises big duet was up next. Denise ran up to Lucky just as Cassidy finished up her first song on stage.

Just in time, Denise exclaimed, catching here breath, as Cassidy introduced the duet.

You guys having fun?! Cassidy asked the audience, getting loud screams from the crowd. Well, now Denise and I are gonna do something special for yall. Come on out girl!

Good luck, Denise, Hannah said, who was also standing backstage. She waited for Denise to leave before asking, Do you think they came?

I assume they is Youngstown, Mari said as she walked out of their changing area. Hannah nodded. You really think thats possible?

You never know, Hannah said before going into the changing area to get ready for her next performance.

MEANWHILE, UP ON STAGE

You dont mind if we do a little duet, do you? Cassidy asked the crowd, getting enthusiastic screams in return.

I believe thats a yes, Denise said, joining her friend on stage. Then the song beat started up:

Who could be the boss, Look 'em to the cross, Stranded, In the land of the lost, Standin' up I'm sideways, I'm blazin' up the path, Runnin' on the highways of wrath, Choked up, by the smoke in the charcoal, Lotta stamps and brands me like a barcode, I'm dashin' all the media strikes, to keep the media dikes, that's reinforced me for the fight, And that alone will keep John Gotti on the phone, I'm tanglin' on the zone, I got the bees on the track. Cassidy rapped Fred Dursts part flawlessly, and then Denise began her part as Method man:

They call me big john-sta, my middle name-uh, dirty water flow, too much for you thug, I can't stand the flood, what up doc? Hold big gun like Elmer Fudd, the sure shot, Mister Meth, I'm unplugged, learn, temperatures too hot for sun block, burn, playin with minds that get you state time, locked behind 12 bars, from a great mine, killa bees in the club, with this ladybug, brought a sword to the dance floor, to cut a rug, love is love all day, till they no slug, and take another life in cold blood, can't feel me, till it's your blood, murder is tremendous, crime is endless, same sh*t different day, father forgive us, they know not what they do, all praise is due, I'm big like easy, and big bamboo

They came together for the chorus, prompting the audience to sing along:

What's that I didn't hear you? Come on a little louder? Everybody n 2 gether now. What?

Denise finished up her part:

Headstrong, deckhorn, get right on, dead weight they dead wrong, let's get it on, 12 rounds of throw down, who whole crown, protect land with full pound, Limp Bizkit, get around like merry-go, bust the scenario, comin through your stereo, why risk it, lifestyles of pro limp thinkin' gifted, essential vitamins and minerals delicious, word on the street is, they bit my thesis, knocked out they front teeth is, try to taste my, actin' like they heard through the grape vine, dope feedin' for the baseline, to provide by, pharmaceuticals, hard as nails to the cuticle, where'd you find that monster? she beautiful, Wu-tang and limp Bizkit roll on the set kick a hole in the speaker, pull a plug and then jet

Cassidy stood up from her sitting position on stage during Denises rap. Her eyes scanned the crowd, and three heads in the back stood out. They actually showed up, she thought, as she began her second verse:

Mic check, so what's it all about, and where we gonna run, maybe we can meet up on the sun, discretion is advised, for the blood of virgin eyes, me limpin' on the track with the method, so get the sun block, you gettin' one shot, until you dissolve I revolve around everything you got, from outta no where, prepare, you be blinded by the glare, I told not to stare, now you've turned into stone, without a microphone, but don't you forget youre in the zone Burnin' up your brain like a piston, So all those who didn't listen, Never even knew what they were missin, and never knew that the sky was falling down, wu-tang clan for the crown.

They sang the chorus again before the song came to an end. Cassidy waved to the crowd before leaving the stage so Denise can do her solo performance. Youngstown is actually here you guys, Cassidy said backstage to the others. They stood stunned as Cassidy headed to the door.

Where are you going? Lucky asked.

To get them. What else? Cassidy answered. Lucky opened her mouth to say something, but Cassidy was already gone.

Wheres Cassidy? We have a group performance in barely ten minutes, Denise said after coming off stage as Hannah went up on it to perform her solos.

and the other girls are just back here, they heard Cassidy say. The door opened and Cassidy entered, along with three others quickly recognized as DC, Dallas and Sammy.

What the Denise started, not knowing of Y-Towns presence at the concert.

I spotted these guys in the audience, Cassidy explained, motioning to Youngstown. I decided to bring them back here before they got mobbed or something.

Thank you, thats very sweet of you, Sammy thanked Cassidy.

Whoa! Ive heard Cassidy be called many things, and sweet is not one of them, Denise joked, receiving a light punch in the arm from Cassidy.

And you! DC exclaimed, pointing to Denise. I think youre the first person Ive met that can rap to a Busta Rhymes song, and not fall behind. Thats awesome.

Yeah, all of you are great performers, added Dallas.

Thanks, same to you, Mari said as they heard Hannah finishing up on stage.

Whose ready to perform Pedal to the- Hannah trailed off, seeing Youngstown standing backstage. Hi.

Were you guys gonna do our song next? Dallas asked.

Yeah, but I think it would be WAY cooler if you guys went out there and performed instead, Cassidy said, getting looks from the other four *NSANITY members. What? It would.

Im up for it. Sammy said, Dallas and DC agreeing. Mari went to get three headsets for them, and Youngstown did some voice warm-ups as Lucky went out to introduce the performance to the audience.

Tonights been fun, but were down to the last performance of the evening, Lucky announced to the audience. Random awws were heard throughout the crowd. But, we got a special surprise for you all. Someone in the front row screamed and Lucky saw that the other four members had moved into the audience, Mari armed with her dads camcorder. A guest performer, I guess you could say.

Get on with it! Cassidy yelled from the front, urging Lucky to bring on the boys.

Okay, give it up for Youngstown! She yelled, jumping off the stage to watch with her friends. Pedal to the Steal began as the three guys of Youngstown took the stage. The crowd went wild as the special performers sang one of their most popular songs. *NSANITY danced along in the front row, Mari video taping everything happening on stage.

Now that was pretty awesome, Hannah exclaimed as *NSANITY waited backstage for Youngstown to finish on stage.

Yeah, and we got it all on tape, Mari said, raising the camcorder for effect. Just then, Youngstown came off stage, followed by *NSANITYs band.

Good show, everyone! Lucky praised. Thanks you for the guest performance Youngstown.

Hey, what about us? Robbie, the bands guitarist (and Cassidys brother) joked.

You guys were amazing as always, Cassidy said, putting one arm around Robbie, and the other around the drummer Nick.

Thank you, Cassidy, Nick said, knocking Cassidy gently on the head with a drumstick. Cassidy faked injury, and moved to a safer spot between DC and the keyboard player Lucy.

You are too much, DC said to Cassidy.

Yeah, and youve only known her for a day, Denise said, laughing slightly. Imagine putting up with her since you were 5.

I resent that comment, Cassidy pretended to look hurt, but ended up with a smile on her face anyway.

You know, Dallas started, you girls could become very popular someday, I think.

Thank you, *NSANITY said in near unison.

Keep up the good work, and youll have a record contract in no time, Sammy added. They all talked some more backstage until it was time for Youngstown to get going. After saying their goodbyes, *NSANITY also headed for home, still excited from the days unbelievable events.
