There about a good dozen weapon types available to become grandmaster in. Training them all can be useful. If there is a bonus, you have it, and if there is none, you'll be able to wield any weapon with a high level of skill.
Find or get created a weapon of the particular damage type that you need,and do stance/weapon-training at the same time.
Weapon training takes very
little time, a good solid hour of devoted bashing could easily take you to grand
master level with a weapon type. The following chart indicates the weakest mobs
that carry each particular weapon type:

Skill levels in Weapons
are as follows:
1) Totally unskilled.
2) Slightly skilled.
3) Reasonable.
4) Fairly competent.
5) Highly skilled.
6) Very dangerous.
7) Extremely deadly.
8) An expert.
9) A master.
10) A grandmaster.
Needless to say, you bot/cheat/afk while training, you get in trouble.
