Ventrue
Most of them are snobby stuck-up bastards who can't be bothered
to acknowledge my presence. I can't badmouth them too much though
- since my closest and most trusted friend is one of them. But
he's an exception - and the only reason we get along is because
we were forced to work together, and came to know and respect
each others' unique talents. He still gets on my nerves though,
like all Ventrue he is overly obsessed with how other 'high
society' types perceive him. As a whole, if you can actually get
one of them to take you seriously, and you can get past their
regimented social behavior, they aren't bad to hang around. Just
don't expect them to acknowledge you in public.
Malkavian
I've only met a few, and they are hard to generalize as a clan.
What I can tell you is try to figure out their 'affliction', then
they will be much easier to deal with. Just don't ever
underestimate them, or count on them to be lucid at critical
moments.
Brujah
The rebel for the sake of rebellion, have hatred without reason,
and rage without purpose. If you have to deal with them, try to
ignore their goading and insults, they like nothing better than
pushing us over the edge.
Toreador
Hmm, let's see, what can I say about the Toreador. Basically,
they're worthless. They are stuck-up, self-absorbed, and all
around pains in the asses. They look down their noses at us like
we are scum. I generally avoid dealing with them whenever
possible, they really get under my skin.
Nosferatu
Now these guys I really like. They are genuine and honest, and as
long as you don't mind their looks, you will find they make
trusted friends. I have yet to meet a Nosferatu in the city that
I didn't like. They are great sources of information, and are
pretty good at covering up any 'messes' you may get into.
Consider yourself lucky if you can call a Nosferatu 'friend'.
Tremere
I'm still undecided on the Tremere. The ones I don't know still
make me nervous. I'm getting pretty comfortable with a few of
them, particularly the Archon. He seems to really care about my
well-being, and I enjoy listening to his fascinating stories. If
you need knowledge of any sort - especially about other
supernaturals (mages in particular) the Tremere are the guys to
ask. Just watch your step around them, and if you find yourself
invited to one of their parties - don't drink the punch!
Assamites
A quiet bunch - quiet and deadly. Anyone who's entire life
revolves around death and assassination has to have some serious
mental and social problems. If you hear one is in town, which you
probably won't until its too late, lay low and watch your back.
Be especially wary of Sabbat Assamites - they are real bastards.
I say keep your claws ready around the whole lot of them.
Setites
Blah - I wasn't keen on religion before my Embrace, and I'm even
less fond of it now. Like other religions - they use their
'beliefs' to justify all the bad crap they do. One thing I can
say is that they do readily screw their own kind. So if you get a
chance to help out one of their neonates that they've burned, by
all means do. You may find them to be a useful ally some day.
Giovanni & Ravnos
Don't know any - don't really want to.
Other Sects
Inconnu
I don't know much about them - I don't think anyone does. They
seem to stay out of everyone's business, which is a good thing in
my book. Although you know they must be up to something -
otherwise it would be quite a boring existence. Because my Sire
is now one of them, they treat me collectively as their 'childe'.
This fact tends to make other who Kindred who know of this
connection distrustful of me. I don't think we have anything to
fear from the Inconnu - but it never hurts to be cautious.
Sabbat
Believe me, there isn't enough space or words for me to express
my hatred for the Sabbat. Down to the marrow of my bones, I
despise them and everything they stand for. There is no reasoning
with them, they are almost impossible to extract information
from, the only thing to do when you find one is kill them. Then
get ready - because once they target you, you're in for one hell
of a ride. Try not to get stuck fighting them alone, and do your
best to kill as many of them as possible.
