There are no river facts, just information on how to get there, the facilities available, and what fish to catch and some general fishing notes

Directions
To go to Chirundu.
Take the Kariba Road and traveel straight on when you get to Makuti. This will lead you down the escarpment on to Chirundu. The road to ZPAC and Tiger Safaris is to the right opposite the small service station next to the Hotel. The road up to the hill is the next turn left (Tar Road) after the Hotel.
To go to Mongwe, and D and E Camps.
Turn right at the dirt road at the ?? km peg before you reach Chirundu, and simply follow the road for the next ?? km. There is a boom there where you will be asked to sign in. Booking (and Payment) for Mongwe can be done through the DNPWM offices in Harare.
BEWARE this road may not be passable during the rainy season and is recommended for 4 x4 (and Company Cars) ONLY
To go to A, B and C Camps.
You have to turn off just before the Marongora DNPWM offices. This road is definitely ONLY for 4 x 4 vehicles,(or at least have two 4x4 vehicles in the convoy, to get you out of the C**P ) and you need to know where you are going, so get a good set of directions or a map of the area.

PLEASE NOTE that access to A,B,C,D and E camps is only with the permission of the Zimbabwe Hunters Association. These sites/Camps have the barest of essentials and are in Wildlife areas, so beware. They do not have slipways, and may not have piped water etc., so be prepared when you plan your trip.

Facilities
Angling Societies
At Chirundu there is only the Zimbabwe Private Angling Club that have a water edge site, although several clubs/members may have houses on the hill. They do have a slipway that is usable most of the year round.
Other Venues
Tiger Safari's just up from ZPAC also have a slipway but it is rather steep so ask for them to help retrieve your boat.
There are one or two other houses along the shoreline that have their own slipways.

NOTES
IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU RETRIEVE YOUR BOAT EACH NIGHT (ALL SITES), DUE TO THEFT ALONG THE WATER EDGES, FROM BOTH ZIMBABWEAN AND ZAMBIAN SIDES. (ELSE PLACE A FULL NIGHT GUARD TO WATCH YOUR BOAT.)
DNPWM do charge for fishing and boating on the River.
Permission is required to travel beyond C Camp from National Parks. This can be obtained from Marongora DNPWM offices.
