Munch is the last foal out of our old mare Mindara
who gave us so many nice riding horses. Munch was a surprise one June morning
as we had considered the 20+ mare to be retired from breeding. She acquired
her name because as a foal the old mares milk was supplemented with artificial
milk and the young foal would eat whatever you put in front of her. Today
she is the same way. She stands 14'2 hh, is smooth to ride and loves
to go. Her granddam Mazurka was an excellent mare and won the first 100
miler she raced in. Her sire Mariah is also an excellent 100 mile endurance
horse. Munch presented us with a lovely chestnut filly January 29 2004.
We can't wait for this filly to hit the trails as there are endurance champions
on both sides of her pedigree.
