Sunday:
Monday is Buddha's birthday, so another holiday! So I took the
opportunity to get out of the city, and visit Jason in Pohang. What's nice
about Pohang is that the air is a lot cleaner and the city is a lot
greener. We spent most of the afternoon just walking around, enjoying the
fresh air. (And we'll probably do the same thing tomorrow!)

Monday:
Another laid back day in Pohang. There really isn't much to do in this
city, and today that's fine with me! It's a really green city, and
the air is a lot cleaner here than in Seoul, so it was nice to just walk
around aimlessly and catch up with Jason.

Tuesday:
At work today, I got really upset with one of my classes. The 1st year
improv students had homework due today that's worth 20% of their final
grades. Every single person in the Iksan class handed in their
homework. Less than half of the Seoul class handed in their homework. It's
been a long time since I've been so disappointed in an entire class,
but I guess I just have to let it go-- after all, it's their grades, not
mine. It's still really frustrating though.

Thursday:
Ha. Maybe it's not so bad if they didn't hand in their homework after
all! I've been spending hours marking!
Tonight, there was a mambo party at Loco Loca, which is one of my
favourite local restaurants. Bryan has worked out a sweet deal, where
members of our studio can get a 10% discount every time we eat there. And
since Bryan and Eva were performing tonight at the restaurant, I got
everything free tonight! Eva is a girl from Toronto who is supposed to be
covering the intermediate class for the next two weeks while Joey and
Helen are in Canada. She is an excellent dancer, and I could learn a
lot from her!

Saturday:
Today, Mark Baker had his birthday party on the rooftop of Indigo. It
was nice and kind of chilled out-- we had a barbecue and a keg, and
some music. But I had to leave at 6 to go to the salsa studio . . . when
I walked out of the party, I saw Bryan sitting in front of the
restaurant, waiting to pick up Michelle, who was quite late . . . as it turns
out, Eva bailed at the last minute, and Bryan needed someone to cover
the intermediate class! Since I was there, Bryan called Michelle back
and told her not to worry about it, and he took me on his scooter over to
the studio, so we could practise before the intermediate class! Aah!
I was pretty nervous about the idea of having to teach my PEERS, not
beginners, and I was still a little tipsy from the party! But
fortunately, the moves were pretty straightforward, and it was a relatively
quiet night for the intermediate class. Teaching the beginner class seems
so much easier now . . . After class, I was
planning on rejoining Baker's birthday party, but I was so utterly
exhausted that I just ended up going home. Also, I've got a really
strange pain in my left thigh, which is making it difficult to walk . . .
