Wednesday April 20, I'm pretty sure I have an eye infection. My eyes have been killing me for a couple days now. They're all
bloodshot and swollen, and liquidy and blurry. I am so sick of being sick! It's been one thing after another here-- colds, twisted ankles, throat infections, eye infections . . . I would love to feel healthy again. I got to pick up my keyboard today from Home Plus--two days early! I was pretty pumped to take it home and set it up-- I played and transcribed and wrote for pretty much the whole night. I missed it so much! Now if only I could meet some musicians to play with. Jason and Evan both play guitar, and they want to do a
little jamming, which would be fun, I'm sure; but I'm talking some hardcore musicians that I could gig with. That would be awesome.

Saturday April 23, Evan took me downtown tonight for a night on the town. We met up with a bunch of other English teachers that he knows, so I met lots of new people tonight! Some of them play in a band that has a gig tomorrow night, so I'm super-pumped that I'm going to get to see live music. I probably won't even care if they suck, I'll just be so excited to hear music that isn't canned. These same people also take salsa classes on Wednesday nights. I have wanted to take salsa classes forever, but I just never had time in
Toronto, so I can't wait to start my dance classes. I figure now is the perfect time, since I have no other commitments than my job, and it'll probably help me meet even more people. Anyway, we had a long night of drinking and partying, and I have to confess it was
light outside by the time we got in a cab back to Chilgok. In Korea, there's no last call, so bars will often stay open as long as there's people still buying drinks. Plus, you can buy alcohol in convenience stores AND you can drink on the streets, in cabs, anywhere-- no wonder Koreans drink like maniacs!
