Sunday Mar 3rd,
Boo. Hungover, grumpy and tired.
Back to school tomorrow!

Monday Mar 4th,
My first day of the new semester. I got up early to
take the bus down to Iksan to discover that I didn't
have anything to do today! I don't have any private
students on Mondays, and my 3 jazz choirs are yet to
be auditioned and placed. The year's off to a slow
start. |

Wednesday Mar 6th,
What I said about the year being off to a slow start?
Take it back. Wednesdays are going to be insane. My
sole Seoul teaching day is going to be jampacked with
3 improv lectures, 2 vocal jazz ensembles, and 5
private students. In other words, 10am to 5:40pm
straight. There are a lot more 2nd year students this
year (many who took a year off and are now back to
finish their diploma), and loads of 1st year students.
On the plus side, my new students seem enthusiastic
and potentially hard-working.

Thursday Mar 7th,
If Seoul is overloaded with students this semester,
Iksan is definitely underloaded. There are only 24
1st year singers at this campus, which means that for
my 1st year improv classes, there's only 12 in each.
Awesome! That's actually the perfect number, as now
they will actually have a chance to practise with me
and try new things without the fear of messing up in
front of 50 people. I'm lucky to have 3 of my
favourite students back for private lessons, and all
in all, it's shaping up to be a good year, if not a
crazy busy one.
On another topic, while my foot is hurting a lot after
a long week of no crutches, I took the subway today
for the 1st time in a month! I'm making progress . .
.
