Sunday Oct 8th,
A minor bought of something resembling food poisoning
tonight, perhaps from some yoghurt from the
convenience store? I'm not really sure . . .
But it did occur to me as I was throwing up that I've
been surprisingly healthy since I moved to Seoul-- no
colds, no coughs that last for 6 months, less allergic
reactions/food poisoning. Who would have thought that
a city of 2o million people would be better for me
than Daegu? Maybe it was just an allergic reaction to
my former boss in Daegu . . .

Monday Oct 9th,
Back to school. Is it weird that I actually enjoy
going to work? I've grown really attached to some of
my students, to the point where I almost want to fail
them so that they'll have to come back next year!
(Fortunately that urge is usually counteracted by the
also strong urge to give them all As, just because I
like them so much) |

Wednesday Oct 11th,
Trying to get a temporary visa worked out for some
upcoming shows: both of them are a little more high
profile, and thus we can't risk having me get caught
on stage without permission from immigration. So Oak
Young, one of the professors, is helping me with the
documentation, to get a temporary permit to perform
for those two specific days. God, if only I could
have a fake marriage to a Korean, so that I wouldn't
have to worry about the playing thing anymore! Worked
for Ben, and is about to work for Kenji.
Speaking of Kenji, Jae, Won Sul, Ben and I have to
miss Kenji's wedding next weekend for an out of town
gig! Kenji's not thrilled about it because a) half of
his co-workers won't be at his wedding and b) he's
missing out on the gig, which apparently pays a
ridiculous amount of money. There may have been some
jokes about whether or not it would acceptable to send
a sub to fill in for him at the wedding . . .

Saturday Oct 14th,
My only plans for the weekend: to relax! Knowing how
busy the next month is going to be, with student
concerts, gigs, birthday parties, so on, I want to
get in at least one weekend of "me" time. I intend to
watch movies, write music and read for the remainder
of the weekend!
