Week 27- Y4(Sep 14th to Sep 20th)
Mon (Sept 15): Today is Chuseok, so there's no work today. Lucky Summer got to to Deokjeokdo island for a weekend of camping, but I opted to stay in Seoul-- so much work to get done! It was nice actually having a quiet day for once.
Tues: Tonight Summer and I hosted the quiz night at Orange Tree again. Our quiz was much better this time, and more than a little self-indulgent: Summer wrote a category about music tours, and I wrote a category about island nations, and also had a map category where everyone had to label a map of the Caribbean! Ha! Nobody did so well on that one . . .
Fri: So Joey and Helen (owners of the dance studio) are getting married on Sunday. Joey's best man is Gerald Cote, who happens to be a world champion swing dancer, as well as salsa dancer! So Gerald and his partner April flew in a week early to do some workshops at the studio and to help out with the wedding preparations. Tonight we had a 3 hour workshop that was awesome! Joey and Helen are good, but they're pretty sloppy on some technical points, and it's so so good to receive training from world famous instructors. Pretty exhausted after 3 hours of dancing though: they worked us hard! After class, I met up with Summer to go check out St. John the Gambler at Woodstock. It was our friend Lisa's birthday. She is kind-of sort-of dating Mark Baker, but tonight they had an argument at the bar and broke up! Poor Lisa, being so upset on her birthday. Mark is a flake and we all seem to realize it except for her.
Sat: More classes with Gerald and April. Man, I wish they were here all the time!
