One day in June, Toshi asked me if I want to go to Hawaii, 'YES, of course'. He said we may be going to Hawaii soon. I was so happy since I thought may be his new boss is going to send him to Hawaii.
It turned out that he secretly applied this Yukata Beauty Contest for me. The grand prize is a trip to Hawaii! Well, as expected, I didn't win in the contest. (Although Toshi said I performed quite well with my speech and conversation).
According to the original plan, Toshi has organized a Zannen Kai (Too Bad party) for me, which is to grief the loss of prize. He has invited my friends from Waseda (Ying Ying, Fan-san, Szulun and Joel), as well as our friends from IUJ, (Yama and Koji) to join the party. We went to an Izakaya first and then had a second party at Karaoke. All of us enjoyed a lot at the party, and to me spending good times with friends is much more enjoyable than the contest itself.
