Winnie and I studied at York University together in the Finance program. Although we haven't been in touch for a long time, it was a good and warm feeling to be able to meet an old friend from home.
Winnie saw an article about a famous sushi restaurant called Daiwa ��a in Tsukiji. Since the restaurants in the fish market close around noon, we met there around 9 am. It was not the first time for me to have sushi at the bar, but it was certainly my first experience to have the sushi be served on the table/bench (in front of the chef), instead of a dish.
It is a very very small store but I guess it is quite famous otherwise the magazines will not recommend it, and there would not be a long line up in front of the store.
