On May 12-13, 2001, Toshi and I went to Kamogawa with Toshi's parents. Kamogawa is located in Boso Penninsular on the east coast of Chiba. It is about 2 hours drive from Tokyo, via the Aqualine Tunnel. On the way, we stopped by Yorokeikoku where a famous Awamata Falls is located.
The Yorokeikoku is famous for hiking expecially in the fall due to the abundance of maple trees.
Kamogawa is facing the Pacific Ocean therefore is a fabulous surfing spot. We didn't surf on that day although Toshi used to come here often before. Instead, we had a very nice sashimi dinner. I found a new kind of fish which taste better than maguro (tuna), which is hiramasa. |
