Kamakura
In June, 2000, We went to Kamakura in Kanagawa.  It is a famous place to see hydrangea in this season.  We took the train JR to Kita-Kamakura (about 1 hour west of Tokyo) and visited a couple shrines including Meigetsu-in and Hasedara where the famous Big Buddah is situated .

After hiking through the shrines, we went to Enojima and got a ride on the old style train running along the sea shore.
