Hokuriku 4-Days Trip
On March 20 evening, Toshi and I hopped on a night bus at 11pm and started our Hokuriku journey.  It takes 7 hours by car from Tokyo to Takaoka of Toyama prefecture xR. It means by the next morning at 6am, we arrived at Takaoka where we rented a car to begin our touring.

March 21
We visited Noto Penninsular \o@in one day, from the east coast (Fisherman Wharf, Mitsuke Island), going up northwest (Sosogi coast, Yase Cliff, Ganmon) and then return to the south where we stayed overnight at Kanazawa.

March 22
We started our day at the Omicho Market ߍ]s@and had breakfast at one of the most famous sushi restaurant Sushi Genhei 齌.  Then we drove south to the Fukui prefecture@䌧@to the infamous Tojinbo qV.  Lunch was soba noodle which is famous in that area.  Afterward we returned to Kanazawa and had dinner at Katamachi where we enjoyed very delicious sashimi and seafood dishes.

March 23
Saturday we went to one of the three most famous Japanese parks in Japan, Kenrokuen Z.  Then we returned to the market where we had lunch at a shokudo ߍ]H.  This is followed by a day trip to the infamous world heritage - Gassho Tsukuri Village in Gokayama.  The weather had not been good in the last couple days and it even snowed this day on the way to Gokayama.  We visited the biggest Gassho village house - Iwase family which was built about 200 years ago, all in wood without using any nails.  We also visited the  Suganuma Village and the Ainokura Village.

March 24
Wedding Day - this is the wedding day of Satoko and ikadai-san.  It was held in Takaoka, and actually it is for attending to their wedding party that we decided to travel around the northern mainland.  The bride was so busy changing her dresses that she hardly had time to eat.  I wanted tao take picture with her and finally at the end we could have a chance to take 2!  A very sweet and funny reception!

We left the town at 10:30pm by bus, arriving Tokyo at 6am.  Both of us have to go towork but the trip was such an enjoyable one that I didn't feel very exhaused.
