The Williams family lived in Tyler Co., WV. Although the family farm is no longer in existance the land still is owned by a great grandson of Charles Leonard Williams. You can walk on the land and still see where the foundation for the
farm house was. You can still find pieces of broken pottery and bottles, treasures only to a genealogist that has found the family homesite.
John Frank Williams, b. 23 Apr 1851 in Tyler Co., VA, married 1st Samantha Horner, 16 Jun 1878 in Ritchie Co., WV. They had one child: Rose Alice married to Elwood Carmichael. 2nd to Mary Adelia Heaton, 12 Jun 1881 in Ritchie Co., WV. They had three children: Nancy Ann (Mamie) married to Frank Robinson, Etta V. married to Frank Wilson, Cora Dell married to George Rogers.
Josephus Williams, b. 8 Dec 1854 in Tyler Co., VA married Nancy Jane Mike, 25 May 1875 in Tyler Co., WV, d. 4 Aug 1876 Tyler Co., WV. They had one child: Ida May.
Mary Elizabeth Williams, b. 18 Nov 1857 Tyler Co., VA married Henry Markle, d. 15 Jun 1939 in Ritchie Co., WV. They had three children: Ollie, Henry, Creed.
George S.W. Williams, b. 28 Aug 1863 Tyler Co., VA married to Roannah Cornell, 7 Feb 1886 Calhoun Co., WV, d. 10 Feb 1927 in Akron, OH. They had thirteen children: Oliver Anthony married to Mabel Hutchison, Viola A., married to 1st Edward Whitlatch, 2nd Ben H., Stephens, Cora Alice married to William Albert Fadeley, Charles Leonard married to Jennie Wescott, Simon Sanford married to Louise Tausch, Bertha Belle married 1st Kenner Lesley, 2nd Mr. Mitchell, George Washington, Raymond Donald married to Carrie Elizabeth Barth, Rolla Clifford married to Ida Hazel Lamp, Grace Mae married to William Marshall Archer, Fred, Earl Russell married to Mary Louise Smith, Ralph Albert married to Florence May.
