| guidelines for emailing your famiy trees |
| this website is the portal for submitting all corespondences regarding the marquezes in the philippines. the family name may indeed be very common as there is a/are marquez(es) in every province of the philippines. our goal then is to construct a social history of the marquezes in the philippines. |

| (2) our primary goal is to document the oldest 'documentable' marquez in the philippines. it means providing a tangible extant record of his/her existence in the form of a written record anywhere, whether in a public archive or a private collection. oral histories are accepted, but they remain in the indeterminate archives unless the information is strengthened by corroborative facts. |
| (3) to maintain anonymity, you may submit information on ancestors two or three generations above you. you are however encouraged to send information on the oldermost generation/s if they are known to you. please include the following: - full name - date of birth & death - place of birth & death - primary occupation if known you may email them in plain email form, or as an attachment of the form: ms word (aka .doc). information in plain email may be sent back to you in .doc form if time allows us to do so, and hopefully with additional information if relevant to your family line. |

| (5) alternate spelling of the marquez name is also accepted (eg lomarquez, marquis, marcus, etc.) |
