This page is dedicated to the memory of those who have perished; the pilots, passengers and crew of the planes, the workers and innocent bystanders at the Pentagon and World Trade Center, the police and firefighters who gave their lives trying to save others. Our prayers are for them and for their families and friends.

Have courage in the face of tragedy. "Be strong and of good courage... do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:5-7,9). This is the time for our nation to be strong and Christians are the strength of our nation. Christians have both the privilege and the responsibility to pray. The situation is serious, but God is strong. "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know" (Jeremiah 33:3)
We live near Oklahoma City. The recent tragedies are bringing back lots of bad memories for OKC people. As bad as we hated the title of "the worst case of terrorism on US soil", it's a title we would have gladly kept to save the people of New York and D.C.
Now that the President has called us to pray. Now that the Congress has called us to pray. Now that our Governor has called us to pray. Now that the City Mayor has called us to pray. Now that the "liberal" media and most other branches of our American society have called us to pray.. And now that our churches are assembling in special prayer.... "Honorable" Justices of the Supreme Court, I have only one question.... Would it now be okay to pray in our schools??? Will this terrible attack be the catalyst that turns America back into one nation under God? |

We hope that Americans in their anger will not strike out at all Middle Eastern people. It's not the color of your skin or the place of your birth...it's the content of your heart & soul that matters. Ray has traveled in the United Arab Emirates. He wants to say that he was always treated with kindness while in Abu Dabi and Dubai and that one of the best bosses he's ever had was an Iranian living in Oklahoma. We are all brothers and sisters. We must learn to love each other. We must peacefully coexist.

I read this today and thought how meaningful it is for our times...and so I want to share it with you. The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect himself from the elements and to store his few possessions. One day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened; everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger. "God, how could you do this to me?" He cried. Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied. It's easy to get discouraged when things are going bad. But we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering. Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground, it just may be the smoke signal that summons the grace of God. Author Unknown
Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. In the midst of it all. . . . . .the sympathy, the terror, the anger, the confusion, the hate, the blame, the fear, the uncertainty. . . See that YOU be NOT troubled, for these things must come to pass. We pray for peace. . . . . .in a world that so often knows it not.
