Who I Am in Christ
My Position in Christ
- I have been transferred from the domain of darkness into the kingdom of light (Col. 1:13).
- I have died, and my life is now hidden with Christ in God (Col. 3:3).
- Although I was formerly far from God, I have been brought near by the blood of Christ (Eph. 2:13).
- I have been bought with a price (1 Cor. 6:20). I belong to Christ (1 Cor. 3:23).
- I was chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before Him (Eph. 1:4). I am a new creation (2 Cor. 5:17).
- I have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear but a spirit of adoption as God�s child (Ro. 8:15).
- I have been made alive with Christ and raised up with Him and seated with Him in the heavenly places (Eph. 2:5-6).
On Sin
- I have died with Christ and am freed from the power of sin (Ro.6:7-8).
- I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who lives but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the flesh, I live by faith in Jesus (Gal. 2:20).
- I am dead to sin but alive to Christ Jesus (Ro. 6:11).
- I have been freed from slavery to sin, and I am a slave to righteousness (Ro. 6:18).
- Sin does not have mastery over me, for I am not under law but under grace (Ro. 6:14).
- Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law (Gal. 3:13).
- I have crucified the flesh in Christ Jesus. It no longer has authority over me (Gal. 5:24).
The Emptiness of My Works and the Fullness of Christ�s Righteousness
- I have been saved through faith, not as a result of works (Eph. 2:8-9).
- No works I do can justify me before God (Ro. 3:20).
- I am clothed with the righteousness of God in Christ (Gal. 3:27).
- I am chosen of God and am holy and beloved (Col. 3:12).
- I am perfect in Christ and am being made holy by Him (Heb. 10:14).
Christ in Me
- I am the temple of God; the Spirit of God dwells in me (1 Cor. 3:16).
- I have the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16).
- I have a spiritual gift, given to me by the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 12:7).
- In Him, I have been made complete (Col. 2:10).
On Trials
- I have the victory through my Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 15:57).
- Nothing can separate me from the love of God (Ro. 8:38-39).
- Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world (1 Jn. 4:4).
- God is for me (Ro. 8:31).
- I know that my toil is not in vain in the Lord (1 Cor. 15:58).
- God always provides a way of escape in the midst of my temptation, so I can endure it (1 Cor. 10:13).
My Hope
- In the twinkling of an eye, at the sound of the last trumpet, I will be raised imperishable and shall be changed (1 Cor. 15:52).
The Character of God
- The Lord�s lovingkindness never ceases. His compassion never fails. Great is His faithfulness (Lam. 3:22-23).
- The Lord is good to those who wait for Him (Lam. 3:25).
- God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all (1 Jn. 1:5).
- His commandments are not burdensome (1 Jn. 5:3).
- He takes great delight in His children (Zeph. 3:17).
- He will never leave or forsake me (Heb. 13:5).
- God cares for me (1 Pet. 5:7).
- The Lord is faithful. He will strengthen me and protect me from the evil one (2 Thess. 3:3).
- Christ is my advocate before the Father and the propitiation for my sins (1 Jn. 2:1-2).
- The Lord disciplines those He loves (Heb. 12:6).
- God is not a God of confusion but of peace (1 Cor. 14:33).
- He is a God of all comfort who comforts me in my affliction (2 Cor. 1:3-4).
- He pardons all our iniquities. He heals all our diseases (Ps. 103:3).
- He is clothed with splendor and majesty (Ps. 104:1).
