After an early dinner/snack at a local restaurant (where Rachel discoverd she did not like Chorizo sausage) we walked down the path on the side of the cliff to get these views.
The kids in front of Ronda and the "New bridge" (built 1751-1793).  The oldest part of the city is on the right side of the bridge.
We climbed down into the Water Mine beneath the Moorish King's House. It was over 200 steps down, dark and damp. At one time (1400's) slaves were used as a human chain to transport the water up the winding steps from the now covered well to the city above. The stairs also lead out to the river, 60 meters below the city.
After climbing  back up the steps we were treated to a relaxing time in the Gardens of the Moorish King's House.  The views were a treat and the various terraces provided space for the kids to put on one of their shows.
Views of Ronda- wow!

Right-  This gate is the "Arch of Philip the 5th" which leads onto the "Old Brigde" which dates to the 16th century.
Ronda
A city on the cliffs
We spent a wonderful day in Ronda roaming the streets, shops and parks. We skipped its famous bull ring but enjoyed an adventure below ground and a little local dining.
Here is an old archway that we found in an old wall below the city.
