| On Tuesday Ralph fixed a big breakfast and then we drove to Rome and parked at a metro station. We ate hot dogs while waiting in line at the Vatican. We wound through the Vatican Museum to the Sistine Chapel, which was very beautiful, but crowded. Another highlight for us was the Hall of Maps. Next we walked over to St. Peter's Square and took a hop on/hop off bus tour of Rome. We got off at the Coliseum and walked part way through the Roman Forum. After finishing the bus tour, we had dinner at the local Hard Rock Cafe. We drove back to our house and arrived after midnight. It was a long, but rewarding day. |
