El Nino (our first "rescued" dog)

Just recently, LeAnn's brother, Dan "rescued" a little chihuahua. The poor little dog was in a kennel (or a small pen) 99.9% of his life, where he got VERY little attention and was never held or loved. At the age of one, the dog had already bred 2 or 3 times. Dan found out about this and decided to take the dog from these conditions and find it a *good* home. The lady didn't really want the dog anyway and gave it to Dan free of charge. The dog has his puppy papers with the AKC and has alreday had his shots. Dan named this dog El Nino. He is a one-year-old white, purebred chihuahua with little black toenails. He's VERY shy and LOVES more than anything to be petted and held and loved.

Dan found a home for El Nino with an old lady named Myrtle. Dan checks up on him once a week and calls Myrtle to see how things are going. Myrtle, for the past few years, has been rescuing dogs and finding them good homes. She had a chihuahua, which recently passed away, and was wanting another one. Dan trusted Myrtle enough to take in our precious El Nino. In case you all are wondering, El Nino has adjusted to his new home and Myrtle is just CRAZY about our baby!

Playing Now: "Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)" by OffSpring

*NOTE*:LeAnn and I were a little hesitant about putting this song on this page. Those who know us are aware that we don't listen to new music (we're listeing to Herman's Hermits this very minute) and we're a freak for oldies! But, don't you think El Nino's pretty fly? :o)
