(Edward and his family (except for his eldest son), arrived in Brisbane, Australia on the Ship,
the "Queen of the Colonies" on 9th. April, 1863.

Edward spent 2 weeks before arriving in Brisbane, shipwrecked on one of the ships long boats, on the Australian Coast. He was one of 13 in a burial party.
There is a Cairn on Moffat Beach cliffs which tells the hardships that 13 men went through back in 1863.)

(Edward or E.H . as he was known, arrived in Australia on the 'S. S. Montmorency' in 1862, leading the way for his parents and brothers & sisters, who came out the following year.
E.H. Arundell was one of the Pioneers of the town of Eumundi, on the Sunshine Coast, in Queensland, Australia.)

(Sidney after his marriage, owned house & land at Cooroy, bef.1900, later selling and moving back to Eumundi and working for his father as manager of 'The Eumundi Hotel' with his Uncle Sidney Hartley Smith as Licensee. In 1903 Sidney & his family moved out west to Amby, near Roma & there he owned the Amby Hotel and Aerated Cordial works, and having the first motor buggy in Roma.
