Valley of Fire National Park, Nevada

One of the best reasons to go to Las Vegas is the daytrip you can make to the Valley of Fire National Park. The origin of the name quickly becomes apparent as you enter the park and discover the amazing red rock formations. The elements sculpt the rock into some amazing formations, and the ancient peoples who lived here decorated the rocks with there picture writings. There is not much known of the people who made these incredible drawings, but they are thought to be a means of communicating events and giving directions.
