I was unsure of how to react.
But you melted my reservations.
You shed light into my dark heart.
You bought laughter back to my life.
I realised how much I needed you.

Was to much to hope for.
Fear held me back.
Then with my heart in my mouth,
Not daring to think you would like me.
I opened my eyes and
found your arms around me,
holding me so tight.
My heart opened in joy,
the darkness fell away.
My eyes met yours,
For that first time.
And I was yours.
You have bought hope back to my life,
And freedom to believe I am alive.
Now each day I long to hold you.
To show you the love you have,
Given back into my bleak life.
I care for you so much,
And feel you beside me,
Even though you are not.
