| One of
the most important things we can do is find time for ourselves. To
simply be alone with our thoughts---to dream. we all strive to be
comfortable with ourselves and in the presence ofothers. In order
for that to be, we must first be comfortable with who we are.
The single most important thing we can do is to listen to what our bodies are telling us. We allow everyday chaos to get in our way of giving this time to ourselves. While the present time, secretly slips by us, while we search for answers. By living without the quiet time to ourselves we lose precious insight into our being. Our purpose in life gets tangled among the daily turmoil. By finding our purpose in life, or setting ourselves on a path to find it, we discover who we are and why we are here. In these quiet times is when we reflect on our lives...our acomplishments...and our troubles, allowing us deep insight into who we are. If we listen to our whole being, body mind and soul, the answers await us. This inner intuition will afford us valuable insights into our person. It is this insight that allows us to resolve emotional conflicts and awaken our souls purpose This in turn gives us serenity. This soul searching is an ongoing process that develops through time and our committment to finding our purpose. Often times, consciousness is associated with the brain or mind because that is the center for intellectual thought and mental vision, but consciousness is not limited to that kind of thought or vision. It is not in the brain but in the heart. It is not seen...not heard. It is felt. There is more to us that we know, that we are more than our bodies and our feelings and the thoughts of our ordinary waking consciousness. When we expand our consciousness we find that there are hidden aspects of who we are that when nourished, and molded into one, makes us a happier...more content person. If we can become aware of our "soul's desire" then, perhaps, we can focus our attention on achieving our true purpose, and stop wasting our lives on things that aren't important to our growth.
