SECURITY OF VIP’S

The media is up with the news that there are 12 cops for the security of one VIP and one cop for 253 Delhiites, the figures given by the Government which in reality are not correct because they draw more force than what has been allowed is clear in the media news. Are we following the Constitution about our Fundamental Rights? Among the six of them the first two are most important in this context. 1. Right to Equality 2. Right to Freedom. The first one states that the citizens should be equally treated by the Nation irrespective of caste, sex and creed. Presently the nation is governed by the Congress party and they are responsible for this ambiguity. The common man has no entity and the VIP’s who are the most corrupt lot (already proved by scams and corruption cases) needs to be protected.

The second one is the Right to Freedom, which says that we are free to move, talk, and enjoy a decent standard of life and take full enjoyment of leisure, social and cultural opportunities. If we feel infringement of our Rights we can go to the Supreme Court to get them redressed. Supreme Court enforces these Rights in the form of law, which becomes a binding on all the citizens, including VIP’s. Now the question arises whether we are enjoying this right when the prices are sky rocketing and we have become the victims of crime with scant security. Is this the equality given to us by the law enforcing authority? It means we are neither enjoying our leisure, nor social and cultural occasions, because the money which is responsible to increase the economy of our country is being siphoned away by the biggies.

The data of security for a common man and the VVIP’s have come to the notice of the Supreme court judges, who got ready to shed it but our M.P’s and Ministers are yet to give their decision sensing them more vulnerable to attacks by terrorists or associates having different opinions. The Members of Parliament are lawmakers but majority of them believe in non-compliance of judicial laws, ask more salary, maximum facilities without thinking about common man and the nation. Their hunger and greed for wealth is not satisfied and breaking of laws for their self-interest is not a big thing for them. Much of the costly time of the House is wasted in discussing unfruitful problems and the internal feuds of the parties, which can be easily avoided if the members may not act as over ambitious, wanting to stick to their seat, and cautioning them for excessive devotion to nation. With their carefree attitude they have made people to consider more about their rights and less about their duties. Jaisa raja waisi praja.

Security of people is a very serious matter and we must consider it in depth to safeguard our nation first and then VIP’s and VVIP’s. The VVIP’s help us for better governing and to safeguard our rights to enjoy better life. Can we reserve safe places to give them accommodation at one place where minimums security would work for their safety and the expenditure involved will also be cut short? The police will not remain overworked and understaffed. With the excess people being spared with this scheme we shall not give an invitation to violence and crime. Another suggestion is that we may provide security to Supreme Court judges and P.M only and the other V.I.P’s like M.P’s, lower court judges and Ministers must pay for their security to lessen the expenditure on the exchequer. I assure that if they remain honest and do everything on the name of God, get them steeped in nationalism, strip them from the greed of wealth, realizing them not as physical bodies but souls, which have all the good qualities, then they need not fear from anybody. Times have changed and we should also change without pursuing the rigid rules of British times.

With more trained police personnel at our disposal we can tackle the fanatics in a better way, keeping away the threat to our streets by stalkers and hooligans. Security of our VIP’s and VVIP’s is absolutely necessary due to the nature of their organization for which we may devise some foolproof methods curtailing much needed amount on their security. We should also be strict about the internal feuds of parties for their rate race for power and it would be better if they let the people choose persons of integrity, not muscle men, to join politics totally getting away from the present trend. Strict action against violent protestors is needed when they disrupt the speeches of eminent persons, who keep the police busy in their vandalism. It would be the light punishment if the expenditure of Police on that day should be levied on the protesters. The party spokespersons, who utter untoward remarks against the members of other parties, should also be taught lessons. They criticize them for the sake of criticism, without having any substance in their argument. We should deal with them under strict laws. This is not freedom of speech; they must observe discipline for change of their mindset.

If the relations between ruling party and the opposition party are cordial, we can think of giving them some responsibility instead of fighting each other on the floor of the house. Please think and bring Ram Rajya, which is the need of the hour.
