GRAY HAIR

Gray is a sign to banish the youthfulness or visible sign of aging. We wish to remain young throughout our lives but it is not possible and is against the system set by Almighty. There is a saying that ‘Jawani ja ke aati nahi and budapa aa ke jata nahi’. Even our skin decays at a particular age and there is no remedy even with the dermatologists. So why don’t we accept the facts and get going? Perhaps, no. We try to put patches and make us look like a whole glittering piece, and until it becomes possible we remain restless. It is not pleasing to look clumsy and so we run after fair and lovely, get skin treatment with plastic surgery and search every nook and corner to find a solution to remain young. We pray to God to show us new bright hopes to get things done the way we want. Let us take up this easy solution by making some relationship with darkness because at night all cats are gray.

Unhappiness disturbs our mental peace, and we find ourselves downcast thinking to lose our worth in the circle of our friends, who are most dear to us, and whose company we often enjoy and value. But experts say that there is no remedy. Artificial curing will make us face allergies and the position is likely to worsen with no succor for readily available solution. However there is one solution to ease the situation if it is acceptable to all of us. Let us create a separate category of grey heads, eulogizing it to get an added approval, convincing others regarding the charm and prudence of grey hair. Media can help us a lot, because people rely more on advertisements and thus media is the proper authority to solve our problem. Not Katrina but some actresses from Hollywood with shining grey hair, the natural colour of their tresses can very well suit to give a boost to our project.

There are two methods to kick start, either we may surrender to youthful faces or we may give them a stiff fight to let us remain in an independent group. We may either submit which look like cowardice or face them boldly. Let people remember us when we shall not be here. We can change the attitude of the people regarding the criteria of beauty, which is not only skin deep but lies in prime value of human beings. With age comes wisdom and grey head is a sign of maturity. Let us impress on people what we have achieved after getting old. We can make them understand through broadcast, print and various other methods available to us. In the first instance let the worn-out knees, freckled faces, waddled gait, bulging eyes, cranky attitude, and distorted nose should be taken as most alluring in contrast to skin beauty. There is a conflict between beauty and blemishes since ages, as is between sun and moon. Moon with a blemish on its surface might have deceived the sun and that is why it is hot and enraged.

Gray heads command respect, get health and travel facilities from the Government and several other added advantages to soothe their battered nerves. They have not gone grey due to bad cold, but by risking their lives for the benefit of institutions to which they had served during the better part of their lives. With their rasped voice, steel resolve, whacky and tantalizing attitude, petulant face and shooting a venomous glare, smoldering anger, sardonic wit and unexpected flashes of kindness, and husky tone which are the qualities of grey heads. They live in the moment and damn the consequences which are generally favored by the society. People are aware that we are a large democracy in the world and thus it would be better if may consult all the grey heads of the world to take a general consensus. Let us hold a conference and decide to settle this issue, not letting some of them to raise legal points thereafter. There must be complete transparency to gain the preference of our counterparts, and save us from the uncalled-for onslaughts from the youth, who might confront to get the better of us later.

Youth despises us and considers us deadwood. Unlike other developed countries we are not allowed to enter or remain in profession till we feel healthy. It is not our fault that our country is over populated; our Government is equally responsible for that, which is a proof of poor governing. Our actions speak louder than words and our past record is impeccable and if it is so why we get early retirement and are sent home to rot. We have incredible courage, a will of iron, and still unable to get the pat of fortune. We are left with grumble beneath our delicate throat. Why don’t they allow us to have a sardonic wit and unexpected flashes of kindness? Our younger colleagues miss our presence, our rueful smile, and we have been pushed through the shadows with shimmering frustration. They don’t let us manage a faint smile and this indignation will go with us to our graves. We pursue our minds and not the heart. In our entire life we remained surrounded by those who concealed their true sel.f

No doubt the world is a wonderful place when we are young, but nobody will remain young forever, which is reality. If you think something about you nobody else will think about it provided you don’t think so yourself. If you think you can, you may. And if you think you can’t you are right. I think the most handicapped person in this world is a negative thinker. So think positive and adore your maturity, which is due to gray hair. We have real courage and true bravery and thus we should stand united and I am sure grays will win, grays will win.
