Jeena Sirf Merre Liye
 Vashu Bhagnanis
production Jeena Sirf Merre Liye is feelgood romantic movie
that tells the story of two childhood friends who reunite after
years of separation.
Puja (Kareena Kapoor) and Karan
(Tusshar) are two childhood friends who develop a liking and
fondness for each other at a very tender age. However, they get
separated after Poojas father (Vijayendra Ghatge), a tycoon, goes
back to the city, taking his lovely daughter with
him.
Separated from each other the two understand the true
value of the special bond between them. Try they might as much to
find each other, but only in vain.
Years roll by and Karan
and Pooja have their own separate lives now. But somewhere deep
inside there still lingers in each of them the fading memory of
their golden childhood.
Twist of fate brings them together
once again but they are unable to recognize each other. And when
they do recognize each other, the circumstances become such that
neither can openly confess love for the other.
Will the two
overcome this predicament and renew their long bonding before
destiny separates them once again?
Jeena Sirf Merre
Liye brings together once more the successful jodi of
Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai - (Tusshar and Kareena).
The
chemistry between the two leading players is so good that they
hardly seem like playing the written parts.
Kareena does a
fair good job in her role as the glamorous but sensitive girl who is
chiefly driven by her sentiments. Tusshar, on the other hand, looks
a bit uptight portraying a character that should rather come
naturally to him.
The film, directed by Talat Jani, banks a
little too much on the old age theme of childhood friends separating
and meeting in their youth. The film takes off pretty well, but the
narrative begins losing its grip in the second half when the
emotions become overblown and schmaltzy.
