Karen fully believes that they only survived the attack due to the brave and fierce determination of her husband and dog. Otherwise, they might not have escaped the jaws of the savage beast.
The traumatic incident has left physical and mental scars on all three of the victims.
Since the attack, Karen has found it extremely difficult to concentrate on her creative writing. Her injuries have also made typing a slow and cumbersome task. Reluctantly, Karen had to put the completion of her upcoming novel, HANS, on hold.
For therapeutic, as well as legal purposes, Karen has instead been keeping a journal of the unfolding events surrounding this traumatic case.
She hopes to eventually compile all these experiences into an upcoming book entitled: AFTER THE CALL OF THE WILD.
Since her life-threatening experience, she has learned that the problem of *dog attacks* is a serious societal issue, one that is all too often ignored.
Karen is in the process of posting excerpts of this surreal saga-in-progress to her online journal. Due to legal restrictions, in-depth reporting will be reserved until after all the pending cases have been resolved.
