WRITING
TRANSACTIONAL LETTER
Part One of the writing exam is a compulsory letter-writing task.  You are given some material to read like a part of a letter, an advertisement, or some notes.  Using this information you have to write a letter of between 120-180 words.
Remember
1)Select the relevant information from the question (highlighting or underlining is very helpful)
2) Use appropriate language for the reader i.e. informal to a friend, formal to a business
3) Read the whole question first before writing anything
4) Make a plan first!!!  Don't just rush into it.
5) Check your writing after.  Check it for grammar, spelling, proper paragraphs and appropriate language.
