Corruption of Neverland pg 8
This is my favorite story. I think it is the best I have ever written. It is sad, melodramatic, but ultimately true: we have to grow up.

I've mulled over the idea of a sequel to
Peter Pan the moment I read it in 8th grade. Early concepts included Wendy returning to the Neverland and finding it very changed. Initially, she was to return quickly to help save the fairies, who were dying because people did not believe (the whole Industrial Revolution and all).

As I grew older; moved out, went to college, became a responsible adult--I started to really feel what perhaps Barrie was lamenting in the work. I became quite nostalgic for childhood things, and shirked my many responsibilites. What I learned is that we all must grow up, and that sometimes our responsibilities can give us freedoms we've never expected.

I've spent a great deal of time trying to sell this piece, for surely it would mean something to others, even if only in the academic what-if circle. But without much success.  I shall keep you posted.

Quick Poll!
Do you think this
Tinkerbell from Peter Pan (2003) looks remarkably like this silent film star Betty Compson?
